WHY NEW YORK CITY?
NYC picked me! My (VERY) ex boyfriend had broken up with me on a canal in Amsterdam and I landed here randomly. I never thought I would stay but almost 10 years later I'm still here!
THE CITY NEVER SLEEPS...WHAT TIME DID YOU GET TO BED LAST NIGHT?
I have an alarm (MY DAUGHTER) that goes off at 6:15 every morning rain or shine WITH NO EXCEPTIONS... so I tend to clock in early during the week. I worked during the day so I was washing my brushes for the next day's job....

COFFEE - Lost Weekend NYC (a "mod" coffee shop on the LES - 45 Orchard Street)
DINNER - Smorgasburg in Williamsburg for lunch, 1or 8 (66 S 2nd St, Brooklyn, NY) for dinner
COCKTAILS - XIXA (241 S 4th St in Williamsburg) for deconstructed margaritas (dangerous)
PARTYING - NOMAD Hotel in Manhattan or Baby's All Right in Williamsburg

DO YOU HAVE A SIGNATURE LOOK?
I live in a topknot at work, but when I'm going out I love big hair. In my past life I must have been a Texan. I always keep my makeup clean and "awake" during the day but I love a bold lip when going out. MAC Ruby Woo is my favorite red and looks beautiful on everyone.
I would say my signature style is black, classic, and quirky. If I need something quick I'll jump to Brooklyn Fox in Williamsburg. The store is carefully curated and I can always find something I like with no headaches. I also love Opening Ceremony and Acne when I'm in Soho. I go into a trance on NET-A-PORTER.
DREAM DINNER PARTY -- WHICH 7 GUESTS WOULD YOU INVITE?
I would make it a POTLUCK and invite Basquiat, Dolly Parton, Frida Kahlo, Princess Diana, Bruce Lee, Yves Saint Laurent, and My Husband :)
WHO ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW?
After the Super Bowl I downloaded every Missy Elliott album (thank you Katy Perry!) and she's been pretty heavy in my current rotation along with old school Kanye West.
At home I listen to the Caribbean Steel Drums channel on Pandora to lighten the cold weather mood. It works! And I always play Patsy Cline when I cook :)
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PROJECT THAT YOU'VE WORKED ON SO FAR?
I worked on a Matthew Barney film and it was the most incredible experience of my career thus far.
DO YOU HAVE A MUSE?
My daughter is my muse. She's curious, fearless, funny, and has the biggest heart. She sees the world with fresh eyes and enthusiasm and inspires me to do the same. She has a closet of clothes that I wish I could fit in and has the best style. She's been dressing herself since she was 2! I always ask her opinion.
